Mathew is tormented by his past and slowly losing his grip on reality. As he descends into a world of nightmarish reality, he morphs into a deranged and heartless murderer. In his struggle to find his way back home, the list of people that want him dead grows.

Mathew Abernathy had all that life offered. He had a stunningly beautiful wife and a healthy, energetic young daughter. Life was good. But things were not what they seemed. Abused as a child, he blocked out the reality and the shame of his torment. He lived life through the lens of fantasy. The nightmares started early and got worse as he approached puberty. His descent into darkness began after starting his own family.

Slowly, Mathew’s life faded into a violent world in which he lived out fantasies based on his character in nightmares. The nightmares became so real he believed the life he’d known since childhood never actually existed. His personality changed as physical evidence suggested he was acting out in real life the role of his nightmare character.

He killed his first victim while in what he believed to be a nightmare. News reports, however, forced him to consider he may have done it for real. Confused and desperate for answers, he became more detached from reality. As time went on, he became less capable of distinguishing what was real.

Eventually, Mathew gave in to his most primal instincts. Unable to control the transformation, he embraced the idea that he was a murderous villain and abandoned his real life along with everyone in it. Would Mathew make it back to his real world? Would there be anyone who wanted him to get back?

Driven by a fury he could no longer control, he killed, randomly, brutally, and without remorse. Mathew had fully embraced his new life, when suddenly his nightmare world slowly unraveled and the struggle for reality started all over.

Stuck between two worlds again, Mathew became a victim of his own existence. In the end, he came face to face with the one enemy he had not accounted for. Will he survive?
