About Me

I am an aspiring writer now living in Jacksonville, Florida. I finally retired and spend my time writing suspense/thriller novels and maintaining a blog and newsletter. My fiction explores themes of crime with a bit of paranormal sometimes thrown in. I find inspiration in the works of authors who use strong female protagonists. Though I’m not sure why, after my third novel, I noticed that was my style, so I figured why not embrace it? I currently self publish, but like most writers, strive to one day land a traditional publishing gig.

When I’m not writing, I’m usually following my other passion, outdoor cooking. I’ve cooked everything from grilled birthday cakes to whole hogs on open pit fires. I also enjoy bike riding with my wife, Jorie. We like to hit the local trails when the mood hits us and the weather is kind of perfect.

My Thoughts

One of my pitfalls as a writer is my reluctance to change how I organize and structure ideas. I’ve written articles on it. This is where I’m most comfortable, though, and I naturally resist change.
